The instrument remained
in the family circle from 1949 till now. Ghislain SAY, jazz musician from his 18s, bought this guitar brand new at the Selmer shop place Dancourt on the 5 th of december 1949; He stopped playing jazz concerts with in 1956. Since that time the instrument nevermore be used professionaly. Many wellknown jazz musicians borrowed it to play with making "le buf" in the owner house with a real satisfaction. It remained in the family sphere until now. The guitar survived to Ghislain's death in 1999 and kept alive by friends musicians' plectrums grace visiting in the last times. |

general condition : |
Good general condition. Only restorations keeping a total structural integrity and its "vintage" aspect . Some cracks restored on the front (pretty good work) and without inflicting decapement received french vernish for protection (subsisting few marks like cracks restored, small holes staffed remaining from Stimer pickup installation and over sprayed small places) ; with a beautiful and original arch to the top ; light diggins of some of the original frets ; "Zero" default for back, sides and neck ; light inclination of the fingerboard extension and the soundhole too ; All original parts except one new headtuner similar to the others. Perfect playing and good sonority. |
